Re: 156 80,000km Service
I'm in a similar boat - my 156 is coming up to 80,000kms in about a month or so. I gave Rick Damelian (big Sydney Alfa dealer) a buzz a few weeks ago and they suggested it will cost around $830.
I am using a mechanic who only services Alfas and Fiats, and I happened to ask him what he'd charge, assuming it would be perhaps a fraction cheaper but probably more or less the same.
Surprise! He's looking at about $400 - $450 for the same service! And I have no doubt he'll be more meticulous in his work than an overweight multi-brand dealership like Damelian's.
I don't know what your options are in Melbourne, but if you can find someone who's been looking after Alfas for 25 years and takes pride in his work, and who runs a small specialist workshop, get a quote from him for sure!
Does anyone else know of a good Alfa specialist in Mebourne who is not a big dealer with ridiculous pricing?
