Alfa 156 wobbly wing mirror
Hi, a passenger wing mirror on my Alfa was a bit wobbly since I bought it and today (good weather
)I decided to see what I can do, plus to check how to remove brackets for the powdercoating.
removal process has been described in details on this forum and thank you everyone who contributed.
Now about my issue. I found out that the mirror was likely to push down at some point and the spring washer got loose. Some glue was added by previous owners and it was kind of Ok, but not good really. After I removed it I cleaned the glue (being unaware initially what it was for) and mirror became completely loose.
My questions is (if anyone had an experience) - how realistic is it to place that washer back on the damaged mount (on photo) and would it last? Can I do it without some special instruments? (I am yet to remove insides of the mirror from the painted shell)
And also. Can anyone tell me what the heck is this black plastic part in the red circle on the second photo?
One must still have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star - it's a satanic drug thing, you wouldn't understand...
