Not too sure if I have all the facts right, but I believe most C.I. (compression ignition, diesels) run appreciably cooler than S.I. (spark ignition) petrol units. Petrol engines have a bit more fire in their bellies, so run warmer. Rough rule of thumb, does the heating system seem to be up to scratch, with the drop in temperature we are having in the U.K. currently?
