I have windescreen wipers which supposedly "sense" the amount of rain on the winscreen & then intelligently set themselves at the correct speed to keep the screen clear.
What this means in practice is wipers running on double speed, smearing insects over the screen in baking sunshine, while remaining unmoved as you pass a lorry on the motorway, in a trorrential downpour, at 200 mph.
Is this just my car or do others have the same problem. Even more infuriating is that I can't even choose intermittent as an option. the 159 has "auto" or "on" as the only options. I've tried changing the sensitivity switch, but I don't think this is actually connected to anything.
Is there any way of disabling the sensor and just getting my wipers to work on intermittent?
