Re: 147 probs

I think most cruise control malfunctions are
due to the brake switch. Try a forum search.

For the rear wiper, does it share a fuse with anything else?
(Can't remember.)

Gear, could be the linkage?

Re: 147 probs

Welcome to AO.

In my experience, and the subject is muchly debated in the forums, the 2L gear stick isn't as highly sprung as the JTD.

Has yours lost its spring since you owned it or are you judging this on experience/expectations?

Can't comment on the other problems I'm afraid.

Re: 147 probs

Hi the cruise control problem will be to do with the clutch pedal switch adjustment as this is very common. And the gears will be the pivot on top of the gearbox needing removed and greased. Also common and not a big job half an hour or so. The main problems with rear wipers not working is usually wiper motors themselves. When you checked for a feed did you have a good earth? Hope all this helps. I work on these cars everyday so am talking from experience. Cheers Kev
