Gotta be honest I have noticed improvement BUT I changed the upper wishbone and cleaned up the top mounting too so can't guarantee that this had anything to do with the now absent knocking under acceleration/braking and improvement in stability.
Bend it towards the bush yourself using a small pry bar or large flathead screw driver and rotate it as you go so it's flexed in a 12 o'clock, 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock and see if it helps you. The metal is soft so it wouldn't be difficult if you wanted to bend it back again if you feel like you can fix it by welding it back in place or just padding it using some old polyurethane board; both of which occurred to me as a solution but I figured it was attached so meagerly in the first instance it can't have been supporting much and i just wanted to eliminate any potential rattling.
You'd be able to get access to it just by driving it up a tall kerb and turning full lock to the left and attack from either under the car or in behind the wheel
