Removing aircon pump 2.0 jts (fitting new exhaust manifold)

I need to fit new manifold cats to my 156 and to get the manifold off it looks like the aircon pump will have to come off.

Will I need any special kit to depressurise and refill the aircon pump or can it just be pushed to one side?

Anyone done this job before got any handy tips?

Have read here: • View topic - JTS header replacement

His workshop replaced the maniverter without removing coolant pipe or AC. So it can be done, but no idea if it's a pain this way. The coolant pipe is plastic, but seems to obstruct the header nuts. Let us know how it goes!
