Cheese 2 rev counter, each with it's own fault

I have 2 rev counters:

#A: tail lights work OK, but it will show 1.5 times the actual rpm, i.e @4000 rpm will show 6000
#B: will show the correct rpm, but right tail light is off (bulb OK)

As I have a V6, it is tempting to assume that #A is from a 4 cyl model?

Now, looking he PCBs the only obvious difference is a set of extra resistors on #B

Would it be worth trying to solder the 'missing resistors' on #A to make it show correct rpm?

Having a full set of rear lights is a must ;-), but so is reading the correct rpm, although pretending you can rev to 10.000+ rpm can be fun too

To be honest, all 6 resistors are switched in parallel, so you could just replace them in the other board by 1 resistor, to test....
6 resistors of 620 ohms in parallel, equals 1 resistor of 620/6 = 103 ohms
