Its a direct injection 4 spark plug version on the twin spark that lean burns below 1500 rpm then on a regular stoichiometric mixture after that. All the usual belt stuff still applies.
The direct injection (straight into the cylinder, under high pressure, not atomised into the manifold)means that the inlet and exhaust manifold is completely different along with the ECU, injectors, injection pump and pistons (and other odds and sods)
It was supposed to develop 165bhp as it has higher compression, but a balls up in the production piston design meant that all the earlier ones develop 140-145 bhp instead and feel a bit weedier than the TS, though it uses less fuel.
