It's March, fresh month - fresh problem
I changed my coil pack last month, and noticed a drop in performance afterwards.. She is 1000 miles overdue a service - which I'm told can make a noticeable difference once done.
I'm thinking I might swap the spark plugs - what are the lifespans on these?
For a few weeks now, the temperature gauge has been running between 70-80 degrees, sometimes dropping to 60. I've never owned a vehicle running that low.. It rarely ever got to 90 degrees..
..driving home tonight and it beeped at me.. Took a glance down and it was telling me my water coolant was at max temperature - pulled over and allowed to cool. Switched it back on and put the blowers on high. This seemed to keep the temperature steady at 90, before it dropped to 70 and then back up. But nothing over 90..
Popped the bonnet back home - seems and sounds fine. Coolant wasn't boiling over and was normal..
Is this a thermostat or something else?
When I say the performance fell off after changing the coil; let me explain. As the vehicle was misfiring, if you were steady with the throttle it allowed you to build up revs progressively.. Second and Third gear produced some fantastic torque.. And if it allowed you to put your foot down, it felt quick. But now third just seems a bit flat?
