Re: 147 clutch pin problem
I don't know if it's the same thing but I have had a very scary experience with the clutch this weekend on my 147 resulting in a AA call out. While in lane 3 of the M80 at 70mph, I dipped the clutch to disengage cruise control. As I did this, there was a bang; the clutch went right to the floor and the car popped into neutral. I managed to navigate to the hard shoulder and called the AA. After being towed to a safe place the AA man found that an 'R' pin which connects the clutch pedal to the clutch bar had broken into little pieces. A tiny little part which he managed to replace in less than a minute.
Strangely my cruise control now doesn't work!!!! I've checked the fuse it appears to be Ok, any ideas???
It's crazy that such a small thing could have potentially caused a serious accident!!!
