anti roll bars... again...

my front bushes are officially ****ED. i cant drive over a fly without the passenger side letting out a rather noticable squeal. saturday is the day it all changed. im going to bite the bullet and order the new, uprated anti roll bar kit. a few questions tho, i have 3 options. GTA, AutoDelta or Eibech.

the eibech i believe is the thickest, hardest option, the autodelta being much larger than stock at 26mm front, 18 rear... GTA is the cheap option.

at the moment its looking set to be the autodeltas as i dont feel i want an insanely hard ride, but something that will allow for great street handling during day to day driving but also offer good track performance, the eibech i feel would be more track orientated.

CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG?! whats your opinion? need to know by saturday morning!

also, i see the rear ARB looks a piece of **** to replace, however, the front is on top of the sub frame, how much of a ***** is this to replace? can i do it myself (with use of a good set of ramps) or would you advise i same my energy and get the garage to do it. how big a job is it? like labour wise, what could i expect?

many thanks once again.

I believe the front arb is a drop the subframe job.

I don't think a stiffer arb will make the ride harsher. Surely it will just reduce roll in the corners?

Re: anti roll bars... again...

I have Novitec bars on my Selespeed which are the same as Eibach. The ride is not noticeably harder. I'm running them with standard Alfa springs and Bilstein dampers and it is a good combination - springs are a bit too soft but otherwise a good compromise for the very poor roads here.

No mountings came with the bars only the rubber bushes and I had to cut the old mountings off the original Alfa bars. Rear is very easy to fit (30minutes) but front I got the Alfa garage here to do it - their labour rate is cheap and so wasnt worth the effort to do it myself.

Roll is reduced but don't expect a huge difference from standard.

156 2.5 V6 24v, Cosmos Blue Metallic, Tan Leather, 17 GTA's, 225/45 Michelin PS2's, Full Zender body kit, GTA Headlights, Eibach springs, Koni FSD's, Eibach Anti-roll bars, Ferrari 360 Brembo calipers, DS2500 pads, Squadra ECU, 45mm Intake Runners, Carbon Intake, Dan & Wizard exhaust
