Free Screwdriver With Service and Cam Change

I had a cam belt change and full service done around a year ago. The car has been running fine and I decided to give it a once over before i arrange my next service to rule out any unexpected surprises.

When I removed the engine cover I found a screwdriver wedged in the engine and quite a bit of oil:

I'm not going to name the garage, as its an easy mistake to make, but it is one that gets very high praise on here.

I think I have decided to take it somewhere else to be serviced this time around. However there is quite a bit of oil on parts of the engine as you can see from the pictures. Will this just burn off now I have removed the screwdriver as i presume this is what has caused it? Or do i need to get it cleaned up and if so is that a big job or just a case of wiping stuff down?

The "oil" looks to be around an injector, nowhere near the screwdriver.

Could be Diesel rather than engine oil too.

Don't tell everyone, or they'll all want one.

I reckon the injector seals are stuffed. Get to them soon as the more diesel escapes through the gap and hardens into tarry goo, the lower the chance of the injectors coming out without destruction.
