I test drove this GT today as was thinking about buying it.
2004 Alfa Romeo GT
It seems like a good car. And its the only GT for sale in Sydney with a Q2 and I only want to buy a car with Q2.
When I drove it today it was ok. Brakes were much stronger than my GTV as I think it has bigger discs doesn't it ?
It feels more comfortable than my GTV as well I guess being more modern also.
But the car felt like it was pulling to the right slightly on acceleration and had to be corrected.
And on hard acceleration closer to redline it would pull very violently to the right as if the wheels wanted to take off from the road.
Is this normal ? Should this happen with a car with Q2 ?
(Road was wet with rain btw and tyres were no name brand probably cheap)
Also Im guessing the OEM shocks will need replacing soon although they were ok it was not as firm as my GTV with brand new Konis on them. Or is the GT much more comfortable than the GTV and shouldn't be as firm ?
Something else felt strange about it as well like it wasn't 100% balanced, maybe the tyre pressures were out or do suspension bushes wear out at 74,000kms ? Although this wasn't a major issue.
