Question: why the MiTo TwinAir, what does it drive like?
Sorry Torchy forgot to respond in my last post.
Picked the TwinAir basically because its cheap
Drives alright, very different to what I'm used to with the 1.6TS. Very different.
Very distinct engine note too, almost like a diesel.
It interested me for a few reasons, namely running costs:
- No road tax due to low emissions
- Good fuel economy (was awful in my 147, would barely hit 27mpg though my rear brakes were binding)
- I can insure the TwinAir in my name for the same price as being a named driver on the 147, I'm guessing due to engine size. Means I can hopefully start building up no-claims.
And to add to that, I mostly do short trips into the centre of Cardiff where I work, so ideal for that really.
