1.9 JTD Oil Quantity warning system.
Whilst my wife was driving the car ( these things always happen when she's driving then fail to occur when I get in ) a previously unknown warning decided to join our little band of sporadic warnings that seem to have no effect.
Along with the legendary, "Glow plug error"(about once a week though car starts fine ) and "Brake light failure"( all brake lights working perfectly) we now have "Oil quantity warning system failure".
Can anyone tell me where the oil quantity sensor hides? so I can spray a bit of WD40 on the connector.
Is it possible to replace the sensor without losing a serious quantity of oil onto your new shoes or should I just leave it till next time I change it, - quite some time it was serviced last week . could my garage have inadvertently done anything to encourage this latest development.
Glow plug error is well documented on here. but haven't been able to find anything about this one. If anyone knows of a thread covering it a link would be gratefully received. if not the benefit of your combined experience equally so.
