Hmmm As a matter of interest....... intercooler pipes

Has anyone with a 147 or 156 JTD 1.9 fitted a set of solid intercooler pipes? I seem to recall (Shrew???) came up with a set but not sure if they went in to any serious form of production. Has anyone else had them made up? How did you get on with them?
I ask as a colleague and I were discussing the pros and cons of solid intercooler pipes over 'conventional' pipes; be interesting to see what others have found out. Have to say I'd be tempted to try a set out of curiosity more than need!

Peco still going? I used to live in Neston which isn't far from their factory in Birkenhead. I bought some pipe and a box from them and made a loud exhaust for my 1500 Maxi! I was so glad when it fell off and I put a lovely quiet standard system back on!
