Re: help please, I can't find the Pollen Filter Housing on my 147 JTD!
Yes it is very hard to get to. The L shaped plastic cover does not look like an L shaped plastic cover when you look at it from below, ( and you really have to get on your back under the passenger side dash to see it.
You will need a 5.5mm socket to undo the bolts too.
The first thing to look out for is the bolt that is right at the top of the L shape - what i have outlined in red with the arrow (1) (your hand may be too big to put you finger on the bolt - mine was) and it is just to the left of the centre console. Once you have undone that bolt, there are two more at the 'bottom' of the 'L' once you get these bolts out the L will drop down, then you have to reach inside the hole and pull out the filter (the hole is only wide enough for one filter, and the filter sits side by side, so once the first one is out you have to reach in and slide the other one out. Now, the filters actually sit BEHIND the centre console but you pull them towards the passenger side. If your still having problems locating it I will take a photo of its position tomorrow for you.
Hope this helps
(in the pic I have reversed it to reflect our right hand drive cars)
