Thanks to Ned, James and the boys down at Autolusso for keeping my Alfa roadworthy and improving the drivability.
Went in, a few weeks ago now for a new clutch, Eibach ARB's, new rad and pipes, but unfortunately when I got her back ended up with an engine management light on!?
local garage plugged in their reader to confirm I had all sorts of issues going on
however, after a few phone calls and many bitten nails later I finally agreed to take up Ned's original offer of collecting the car from me and getting to the bottom of the big issue. I was reluctant at first as I live about 70 miles from Dunstable, but thought what the hell, at least she's with a decent Alfa specialist who'll know more than ya average mechanic about my dilemma.
So good lad Nathan came all the way down to sunny Surrey and picked her up for the long drive back round the 25 and the M1. After checking all contacts and earths were all in tact and clean, and (to the best of my knowledge) giving her an extensive test drive
no issues were found!!?? Typical.
And in true Alfa fashion, the engine management light had already gone out the morning it was due to be picked up for repair? So, after getting her back a second time, I can finally say phew!! And thanks guys for a top job and service
didn't think a garage would pick my car up and look her over and drive all the way back down here and only require a cheeky donation towards fuel from me. Well done, will hopefully pass on the compliments by this thread........ Nice one
