Hi all, im a new owner of a 2002 156 2.0 twinspark saloon.
I took a risk and got a high mileage (128k) without a service history.
I am going to keep this going listing all problems and repair costs.
Hopefully others can learn from my mistake, not let their heart rule their head, and jump for the first one they see!!
So, the story so far
The Aux belt is squeeling constantly, only time this goes away is sometimes with the clutch in, but not always. My first point of call is to the replace the belt for now, and see if its just the belt or if its pulleys/alt ect.
The fuel gauge doesn't work and light doesn't either, quite a problem!
The rear left side windows doesn't work.
The thermostat i think is gone, as car rarely gets above 50. Got a new one ordered and hopefully this will fix the overfueling im also getting...20mpg
I am hoping the thermostat will cure the overfueling, if not i will try the maf sensor and the lamdem thingy...not sure if thats spelt right.
Sometimes the engine light has come on, but usually its off?
The car leaks down the front passenger side windscreen pillar, and has alot of condensation in wet weather.
On the plus side, the car isn't loosing power, the pull on it is unreal!
Oh and i need to change the fuel cover as the hinge is broke, pull the cap lever and it drops on the floor...not good!
So as you can see, i have alot of work to do, once these are done i will do the whole cambelt water pump job.
If any of you have any ideas as to the problems, feel free to give me your input, all help is apprecieated!!
