Valve on fron of gas cap won't open..


Not sure how the thing is called.. See the photo below:

In the green circle is a valve.. This should open when you need some gas Well.. It won't open anymore. I haer the litle engine trying to open the valve but it won't. It seems to stuck somewhere.. Even with the red rope in the trunk it won't open..

Has anyone seen this before? How could i solve this..?

I think you need to keep trying with the red cord on the fuel cap at the same time and it might pop open. Otherwise whilst pulling the red cord you will have to priese open the flap with something ....then apply grease to the lock etc

Its normally called the petrol flap....

The red cord is a direct pull on the plunger that locks the flap, so if you can feel that move the flap should open. If not, some gentle levering as above.......
