Have no idea how they will work on a 156, but, back its glory days, Peugeot made its own shocks, the only manufacturer who did, and they were acknowledged as the best available, Ford said at the time they aimed to match them but could not get to more than 90% of the quality without spending stupid money. Eventually Peugeot realised most consumers didn't care about excellence in dampers, shut the factory and outsourced to KYB. So all modern day peugeots, since the 406 have had KYB dampers. As a vote of confidence in the product, thats not a bad one. As to whether they are better than your original dampers, probably, as the originals were rubbish on the 156. But are they better than Koni FSD's or Bilsteins, which are much favoured on this forum? You might be the guinea pig.....
