Alfa romeo 147 ts supercharger upgrade

hello, I have in mind to put a Rotrex compressor in my Alfa 147ts (hidden under the AC), my question is for pass the annual inspection (unnoticed), they'll notice the noise of the compressor. Is possible to place an ON / OFF interrruptor or something I can turn off at anytime for a short time without removing the belt? can someone explain their ideas please? Thank you

Hi, yes - if you are going to try and hide it, it won't work - if anything - the air piping WILL give it away.

Normal TS air box is top right, with short pipe to the Throttle. The SC will sit bottom left and the boost pipe needs to get top right, then a SC will not work great if you don't put in an intercooler - another give-away.

Then pricing - it will set you back a few thousand Euro's - it is not cheap.

Why is this not fitted to a car?
More to the point. If you are not going to fit it to your car. Please donate it to me and I will put it to good use.

My Car is catastrophically unreliable as it is, had some really bad luck with it. I've literally only drove it a few thousand miles in the past few years.

Once i know its OK again I'll get it fitted but at the moment I just dont trust it.

I was thinking about putting it on a 2.5 Q-system sportwagon and then eventually upgrading the engine to a 3.2 and transfering all the upgrade parts on my old one across to it,

Those gearbox's can take 400bhp...the TS one cant take 40bhp lol

hi, im sorry!! i had some problems in suspension of the car. But all new now!! In my place they not simplify anything! even paying taxes! compressor is hard to get! they would notice the noise! I'll buy a Saab Aero 2.3 for tunning! is an ugly car but at least it's cheap and have power. Alfa for keep and cherish!! buy 1000$ cams for 20hp no good for me! NA car is hard to get good power!!

I've thought about the same thing, although love the handling in the TS its insane.

I had a saab before and they handle like crap which is unfortunate as I'd rather have one over a German car. I love the 9-3's but the body roll on youtube videos makes me sick haha.

Anyway I've managed to pulverise 5th gear on mine and it's having a new one at the moment

You really do have some rotten luck.
Shame. If you get bored I'll always take the supercharger off your hands and put it to good use.

in saab need good oil because the sludge!! good AA bar, good brakes, good suspension!! the alfa handles very good!! you right!!! sometimes i imagine if i have a B6 suspension and better tyres!! but even stock the car handle very good!! but need more power... the saab spend thethe same fuel as my 1.6... board computer show 10.3 on mine and saab show 10.8l/10km

i like the 147 GTA but no 3 dors... and very expensive arround 20k...

for me;
Alfa romeo
Saab
Lexus
Jaguar the supercharger ones

Never diesel!! i prefer pay for petrol than to spend in mecanic in DPFS/INJECTORS/TURBOS/FLYWEEL etc.

I HATE BMW... you see a bmw, and go inside very poor!!! for good bmw NEED to buy pack M or a lot of extras... the car stock is very poor like a VW polo interior... and bmw is the king of the garage.. and RWD no way for me!! i always drive fast!! and somethimes my mistakes in alfa i never had them corrected in RWD

The BMW always go in left lane to overtake! but when it rains it's all in right with the fear slowly ...

since you are experienced, do you know where a second hand sc kit can be available for a 1.6 ts?
