156 with front number plate in the centre
Travelling down the M4 towards Reading this morning I saw an Alfa approaching in my rear view mirror. I could tell it was an Alfa from a long way off because of the distinctive grill, but something didn't look quite right. It's front number plate was mounted in the middle rather than to the side. I presumed it was a 166, although it didn't seem big enough. As it got closer I realised it really was a 156, but with the number plate put in the middle.
Does Alfa provide a service to put the front number plate in the middle? The car this morning looked more like an owner-improvisation. I could see the flat bit where the number plate should be sticking out from behind the plate. I appreciate some people don't like the quirkiness of the off-centre plate, but I can't see that having a central plate with an area clearly designed for the plate sticking out the side is any better!
Apologies if the car belongs to anyone here!
