Re: GT Swap - Should I ?
Thanks for all the posts of advice so far they're really helping me to get a better picture
I really do love the marque and beyond owning a few other brands in the past I really have a soft spot for Alfa Romeo . . .
. . . Having said that day by day the GT is depressing me, my local dealers who will remain nameless, for now, I think are taking me for a c**t (pardon the french) and I'm not too happy about it, considering how nice I am with generally most people I meet, then again generally if you stay on top of them they seem to be ok with you. So I dunno on that one.
I had a Brera 3.2 Q4 SV jobbie for 24hrs a few months back, and however much character I thought it was lacking compared to the GT that I owned, I now look back and see that it probably made up for it in a lot more important areas to me now (reliability, build quality, etc) having said that within the 24hrs I had it, the whole onboard computer went spazzy, and resulted in all the warning lights on the dash periodically coming on and the car going into limp-home mode, luckily killing the engine and restarting it cured it, but it was still a bit embarassing even when I was considering one back then, I've been told this has been fixed with a software update, then again knowing the people I deal with that could be total crap.
The GT is costing me in the region of 1200 quid to put right, bodywork and alloy damage, new tyres, servicing, etc etc, so when its all sorted (within next few days) I will figure out where to go from there.
Anyone wants to offer me 20k for it bang on, its theirs :-p
Thanks as always
