2002 156 t spark

grinding noise on full left hand lock

Hi all
i have a 2002 plate 156 t spark and have been getting a metal on metal grinding noise on full left hand lock, having taken the wheels off to investigate the only obvious sign is that the roll bar link bottom joint bolt has been rubbing the drive shaft, you can see the wear marks on the the shaft,im guessing this is to do with weight transfer when cornering slowly as this is the only time you can hear it, any thoughts would be helpful.
many thanks

Is it a light grinding noise? Quite tinny sounding? If so it most likely the brake dust shield behind the brake disc, just pull it back by hand and see if the noise goes away..

If it turns out to be the roll bar touching the driveshaft then check your engine mounts.
