Help Reseting mile counter (non trip) (147)

Stupid question this...

Under the mileage display on the 147 there is the wee counter that counts to 1000 miles and then goes back to 0.

How do I reset this to zero manually? I just cant find the button to do it.

I'm not referring to the trip computer functions, as I know how to operate those.

Re: Reseting mile counter (non trip) (147)

I think it involves using the up and down arrows to the right hand side of the steering wheel.

Holding the button inbetween the two arrows whilst on the mile counter setting or whatever they call it resets the figure... I think

There's a button somewhere which says MI on it. Maybe down near the headlight adjuster? Can't remember. It's in there somewhere!

Re: Reseting mile counter (non trip) (147)

There are loads of threads on this.
Just try a search.

(The function to turn off the instrument lighting
and the one to reset the trip are actually reversed.)

Re: Reseting mile counter (non trip) (147)

On the console (below the steering wheel) are the buttons with up/down arrow, menu and "Km".

Its the Km button you are looking for.

This does the following:

1. Press & hold for about 4-5 seconds: resets the counter under the milage counter to 0.

2. Press & hold for about 7-10 seconds: will cancel the lighting of the dash/dials except for the speedo....

Hope the above helps

Re: Reseting mile counter (non trip) (147)

Yep, that's the one. It works really easily on my 147. I notice though that the counter goes to zero only when you take your finger off the button ,not while holding it. So, be sure to take you finger off the button before 7-10 secs or you'll change the light settings on the dash.
