Auxiliary belt drives the alternator, power steering pump, and aircon compressor.....and has a couple of tensioners. Noise could be coming from any of them, really - the only way to tell is to take off the belt and rotate each of the potential culprits to feel for any roughness.
The sprung tensioner is above left of the crank pulley (when viewed from the right of the car) - you need either a long 15mm (IIRC) spanner to move the tensioner back to free the belt, or maybe a combination spanner with another spanner hooked over it - which is what I use - you just need the length to overcome the spring tension......
