Re: GTV alloys and my 156
Not necessarily. The PCD is the first bit to worry about - all the latest Alfa 5-hole wheels are 5 x 98mm PCD so the holes will physically line up, any wheel to any car (apart from the 166, which are 5x 108 I think).
The offset is how far out the wheels poke out (simplistically). Actually it's how far the centre line of the wheel is from the face plate (the bit of the wheel that touches the hub),
A zero PCD wheel means the face plate is on the centre line of the wheel but normally the face plate is closer to the front of the wheel, so the bigger the offset, the closer to the front of the wheel the face plate is and so, the more "inside" the arch the wheel will fit.
A small offset means the wheel sticks out further.
We're only ever talking about a small amount. Alfa wheels typically have offsets between 35 and 38mm so what you're doing is moving the wheel up to 3mm in or out from its present position in the arch. It's nothing, isn't it? They WILL fit.
