AR 147, cold weather electric shutdown
Model AR 147, 1.6 twin spark 2002. Manual.
First day of cold weather this year. Temperature -7 degrees (20 fahrenheit).
Car was outside. I turn on the engine to let it heat. From the beginning there was no hot air coming from air-con and even after 10 minutes of engine running.
Everything else was doing fine.
I put it in first gear, make the move and on the first corner I start losing acceleration power. The car stops. Wont turn on. Seems electric failure.
Everything in the instrument panel resets.
After a few tries a new messages pops in the panel. EBD and ASR failure. Every time I give contact there is a strange low sound coming from the front. I try switching on the lights and in that moment the instrument panel turns off. I turn off the lights panel turns on again.
I waited till the temperature got to 0 degrees (32F). Still nothing.
Now the instrument panel starts shutting off almost completely. Everything on it is really dark and I can barely see those alert messages.
What do you think?
Thanks a lot!
