Climate Control Knob

I recently noticed that all of a sudden the climate control knob has no resistance when being turned.

Let me try to explain in more detail:

When I used to turn it (to select different temperatures), I could feel little "clicks" every notch...

Anyway, now, it just rotates freely without any clicking.... and therefore renders it quite impossible to select a temperature setting - especialy when driving (you can no longer feel the temperature increments, you now have to look at the display)....

Any tips of what could be wrong and/or how to repair? - I suspect I need to get the dial/knob replaced....

Is it a simple "pull-off-the-dash and push-the-new-one-back-in" job?

Thanks to any1 with any info on this...

easiest.... (maybe)

Re: Climate Control Knob

Try to fit a tiny small piece of paper between the knob and the dacia.I have done the same and everything works fine. You cannot hear the click sound but at least it works perfectly and remains steady.
