GT Blackline JTS Parking Sensors
I have had my GT Blackline JTS since October 2013. Parking sensors started playing up about a month ago. Not covered on 15 month warranty.Testing revealed second unit in from nearside could be culprit as slightly loose and intermittent working. My preferred, 20 mile away, independent Alfa specialist, ran out of time on a recent Oil service (Brought forward on purpose) to checkout so used, for first time, and possibly last, local village garage to check out electrical contacts within system as a first step, at least those he could reach without the bumper coming off. Based upon probability that I needed one new sensor checked prices : £100 to £59 depending where I looked except a company called TOPFOBS in Preston - £16.99 inc P+P via Ebay for a German made look alike to OEM unit. Single unit fitted today @ total labour cost of £150 for two working sessions, total 4 hours work (?) Bumper off of course but added hassle of Bose amplifier to come out of nearside boot cavity Etc.Etc.
It all works perfectly now but one has to compare cost to fix with an all new system from a mobile fit company that charges £199 for complete bleep only system and colour coded.
It`s only money and I am very pleased to have them working with no ear piercing warning tone.
