Hmm different tyres do give different feedback. I've had some awful budget things on the V6. They were bloody scary. Yet the 147 I have 17inch wheels with 225 tyres with Nankang summer tyres (NS2). Which people say are horrendous in the wet. Yet ive never had a scary moment on them.
Reviews said they also take a long time to wear out. But again I've done about 7K and they look about 70% worn. I only do city miles but they do get a daily hammering.
So again. I think predictability or handling is sometimes better than overall grip and then a tyre letting go.
But than again they are cheap at £50 a corner. So can afford to nail them.
