Hope you dont have the same problems as me...
The sump plug was threaded by an alfa dealer for me, but I only found out when I changed the oil. Had to have it tapped out and a heli-coil inserted. Alfa have now changed the washer to a dowty washer, so maybe its getting common for them to leak. Fingers crossed. Was about 2.80 pounds if memory serves.
How do you know its the crank shaft seals? I have a leak from my 2.0 and was told by the alfa dealer it was the rear balance shaft seals which to fix was a cheap part but needed the enginer taking out, no longer cheap.
