Drunk brake discs 156 2.4 jtd

hi all ive got a new set of brake discs for my bella and a friend of mine said i can drop the pads out and change the discs without taking the callipers off is this right ,also are the rear discs straight forward or more of a problem because of the hand brake thought i would have a go my self the weekend ,or should i just let the garage do the job,

Can't see you being able to take the pads out without removing the caliper.....otherwise they'd just fall out Could be wrong though!

For the rears, you'll find it much easier with a caliper wind back tool, about £20 from Halfords or half that for other makes on the net.

I suppose it could be possible with the pads removed but it would be easier to just unbolt the calipers (support them so there is no strain on the flexible hose) and replace them that way.
