difference of 2.5 V6 Cf2 and Cf3 knock sensors
I'm having Cf2 V6 engine in my 156 and need to convert it to Cf3 (why I need to do this, is a too long story...) Anyway, I bought a Cf3 car with a broken cam belt and I can take everything needed from it for the conversion. There are quite a lot of differences actually. The problem I have left are knock sensors, in Cf2 engine they have 3 wires and in Cf3 2 wires, and of course connectors are different. In wiring diagrams the actual sensors look the same, the difference seems to be in the sensor grounding/wire shielding.
Does anyone know if the actual sensor are different or only the grounding/shielding? I would rather re-wire old sensors than start removing cylinder heads to change the sensors.
