Re: Where is the oil filter?
Right down the back of the engine, its a crawl underneath job I believe. (Oh, get a new copper sealing washer too, avoids risk of the dread drive killing dribble) As long as the oil specs are correct and I'm guessing a 10w40 is just the ticket, it doesn't matter whats on the tin. Most oil comes from one of a handful of refineries anyway and then has additive packages added. I use Castrol GTX magnatec at 10w40 and it purs like a tame little pussy cat.
The Selenia has to be used mindset is a little odd. A good oil of the right spec that hasn't been on a motor factors shelf for years will be fine and dandy. Always buy a spare bit of oil of the same type for topping up because I always find that the only time I seem to need oil is when I check it on long trips a long way away from my normal sources and I end paying over the odds for the stuff.
