Drove home from work today absolutely fine at about 5 o'clock, then went to go out again at about 6:15 and my GT wouldn't start.
Was turning over nice and quickly, but just wouldn't fire.
Checked the fuel cut-off: all OK.
Checked all the relevant fuses: all OK
Tried the other key: no change
Checked to make sure the cambelt was still tight: OK
The fuel level was a bit low and it was parked on a bit of slope so did wonder if that could be the issue.
Called out my breakdown service and he put some more petrol in and tried it again, no change. He also checked to make sure the cams were turning - they were.
Any ideas? I do wonder if the fuel pump could be at fault as I can't really hear it buzzing (but then I don't know if I used to be able to)?
I guess it really wants putting on a diagnostic scanner? Crankshaft sensor maybe?
I don't know where to start looking really.
Any help much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: could it be flooded as I think that it maybe fired a couple of times or something then stopped possibly then wouldn't restart?
