Re: How stonechipped is the front of your GT?
Stone chgips seem to affect the new generation cars far more due to their fully painted up front ends, my BMW M3 was as bad as my GTA.
After having the front end repiared twice I decided to get the whole front end painted & then I fitted the VPS plastic film protection system which also offers some impact protection from larger debris.....works fantastic. They also covered my headlights, I had them do the sideskirts, under the door locks which get scratched by nails , the A-Pillars etc.
Don't know what the product is called in the UK but any car I ever buy in the future I will get it protected in this manner before it leaves the showroom.
Mine is much higher up the bonnet line than normal, I'd say a 1/3 of the way up so that the film can offer protection to the widened front GTA arches which always end up with what is termed road rash. You have to look close to see it & you can use polish over the film, great product.
Do it & never see a stonechip on your car again. The only part of my car that now suffers from that problem, is the windscreen but I've heard that the developers of the film are coming up with a similar solution for that.
