The head mechanic at the dealership came out to see me the last time I went in. Said there was another car on its fourth tensioner in a year too. I recon there must me a duff load of bearings but I am getting really fed up with it, and the car in general. My wife even bought a new Audi before we went on holiday as she would not go in the Alfa.
I am not going to go on anymore, just wondering how big a job it is to change.
i think you should be taking it up with the dealer who fitted them and
or supplied them. 4 aux tensioners, none lasting more than 4k???
Mate you shouldn't be paying a penny, nor should you need to do the
note! as a rule, all aux pulleys should be done on a car that has done
your cars mileage. not sure if there is a link between old pulleys,
damaging your tensioner or not, but they should have been done by
Also crankshaft pulley [the big one at the bottom] not noted for
lasting much above 100k in the jtd.
