Stiff Gear Change help

As I've recently experienced the stiff gear change syndrome, I thought I'd try the bush replacement fix. I've been referring to the useful 'How to' guide. However, whilst trying to withdraw the bolt from the housing where the bushes sit, I've found the bolt snags against a brake(?) fluid pipe which sit behind it. I'm now stuck as I can't move the bolt any further back and can't make any progress on removing the old bushes. Hopefully the pic attached shows what I mean.
It's raining now so I've come to wait to see if it stops
Any suggestions?

Put a jack under the gearbox/engine join (use a strong point) and take the wieght, undo the front gearbox mount and lower the engine/gearbox.
