Gone through puddle now won't start
About a week ago I had to go through some deep puddles in my 156 JTS (2002), car kept going with no problems and I managed to travel several miles after the last one. Then the battery light came on and the dash lights started to fade, ABS warning came up on the dash then it died completely. I managed to bump start the car and sat for about ten minutes to let the battery charge a bit, everything seemed ok.. until I started turning on the lights and heater, heated rear screen etc.. same thing happened. I managed to get the car home with most electrical items turned off. A few days later I turned over the ignition and it started first time but again when I turned the heater, wipers and heated rear screen it all died again... just been out and tried it again and it's completely dead.
The battery was replaced last year tho I had noticed a bit of belt squeal a few days before, I'd put it down to the damp weather..
any clues would be appreciated...
