Weird Tread Wear Pirelli P6000 17"

Hi guys,

My 147 2.0 TS has recently developed a strange whirring/whining noise which seems to be coming from the passenger side rear wheel. The noise only starts when I hit 40mph and then dissapears between 45-50mph and then returns when I hit 75mph. At first I thought it was the bearings but they seemed to be ok. Got my local tyre place to take a look and it looks like the tyre tread has been wearing on every other tread pattern. When I rub my hand over the tyre it feels as if there is steps between each tread. What makes a tyre wear like this???

Anyone had this problem.

Yes it can easily happen.
A slight change in toe-in or a wearing bush is probably the reason.

My current set of Toyo T1-S have done it (never happened with previous sets of T1-S). I think while on the back and I only noticed when I rotated the tyres last year.
