Lack of torque on Alfa GT after clutch replacement
Hi guys & ladies,
I have recently had my clutch replaced on my GT by my local garage and ever since I got it back I have had issues regarding acceleration and lack of torque. The car is now much slower pulling off and I really have to rev the engine to get any sort of performance. Once I get to around 40 mph it seems ok. However, the main issue is when I'm driving on the motor way. If I try to overtake at around 60 to 70 mph, there is no response. The revs idle at around 2000 rpm slowly moving to around 2500 rpm in about 1 minute and then I get the power kicks in (after 80mph) and the car reacts the way it should. I have no idea why this is happening. If I'm driving up a slight incline on the motorway, the car losses speed even though the pedal is on the floor. I use to be able to put my foot down in sixth gear and pull off. I even tried going into 5th gear and although there is a slight improvement it's still no where near as good as it was before. Driving on the motor way is a nightmare as I just cannot overtake unless I'm going 85 mph+. Is this connected to the clutch replacement?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
