if the corners are soggy then its shocks - one of mine had gone, it passed an MOT fine - they are gas filled so no leaks to show, but once off, on the compression stroke there was no resistance at all, just on the up stroke, so this reduced the bounce a bit to pass MOT, though would often bounce with no resistance until pumped/bounced a few times. it was just one corner so felt like the car rolled more that side. the other side rear was ok, but not as firm as the new ones of course
how many miles have you done? If its over 50K then highly likely could be shocks, and worth replacing them anyway.
Hold the rear end slide....don't run wide!
