147 GTA

Hello Gentlemen

Newbie to the forum here, with the only 147 GTA in Malta shipped from Australia

I have tried and tried and failed to remove the gearknob using the methods outlined (without resorting to a hack saw that is) I have tried blow driers on the knob, twisting with towels, I am no Hurcules but am by no means a weakling either. Is there a particular direction I should be twisting it in? Any method besides the hack saw as I would really like to keep the original for sentimental value.

I have a beautiful momo Gear Knob Sphere Leather S (looks like the original but with a second chrome strip around the centre) and it is just sitting in it box.. Frustrating to say the least!

Any assistance would be REALLY appreciated!

I twisted mine off with a pair of grips, came off fairly easily, and twisted clockwise. Ripped up the inside of the knob, so no chance it could be reused.
