I'm regularly on some of the more challenging roads in the lakes, and my sele is awesome with it, also spent about a year in northern italy drving in the alps most weekends, brilliant. In mine the car, and sele system, feels most at home on these kind of roads.
As for mpg, i used to do a regular newcastle-london-newcastle motoway only and would average between 37.5-40mpg at average m'way speeds 65-75mph. would get way above 500 miles out of a tank like this, i never actually let it run right down as i would hate to be stranded but think i could have passed 550 out of a tank.
