Re: clonk sound and jerk while reversing
The clonk sounds from somewhere in the middle of the car but could also be from the rear - I am not exactly sure. It also occurs only once while reversing normally in the first second of reversing. However no handbrake needs to be used - If I just stop and start reversing it can occur. Also it has happened once or twice where this also occured when pulling off in first after having stopped.
It sounds to me that it could be the back breaks getting stuck. Is this possible though even though the handbreak is not used? Is this safe? I am taking it in to TI Autos in the next few weeks to get my erratic idling fixed so I will mention it but I also dont want to pay a fortune to fix something that maybe is unessesary.
One more question is that cover on the bottom on the engine needed? It has worn off and is now hanging and a new one I heard is 255 euro. Should I ask them just to remove it or should it be replaced?
Thanks for the help!!
