DIY rebuild success (well partial)
After the cam belt failing in my 156 i have spent the last few months tinkering with my Alfa removing the top end and refurbing with some very helpful assistance from the forum. Yesterday I got the last bits back together and to my absolute amazment it started first time.
As you can imagine I have been starting it and stoping it every five minutes to celebrate my success and developed a bit of a problem.
The fuel injector light is flashing on and off and a relay is clicking every few seconds near the battery. (Car won't start)
What seems to be a completely unrelated matter is a drip of oil from the cam cover that i will need to take of and reseat but thats no problem.
Any thoughts on the fuel injector light and clicking would be great. I can't decide if its fuel related having stood for some months or electrical being an alfa.
