Re: yellow warning light
I was driving back home from Amesbury to Portsmouth with a few friends in the car at some ungodly hour thismorning.
I was on the M27 just past Southampton one one of the lovely curvey downhill sections. I was cruising at about 90-100, and every so often if there was nothing about i had a short blip to 125ish.
The engine is a 16v 1.6 TS
During one of said blips the yellow / orange warning light came on, i completed the journey not going above 3000rpm just to be safe.
After leaving it off for a bit, I started her up again and it was still there. I had noticed no change in performace or engine tone, still had nice smooth acceleration, and no miss fireing or flat spots.
I will go out and check the fluids in a bit, but they were checked before leaving home yesterday afternoon.
If it is nothing serious and the fault was only a miss reading from a sensor or something will the light go off eventually?
My boss' brother has a small private garage and has all the kit to plug some computery gadget in and see whats wrong, so ill pop over to him on monday, untill then is it ok to drive?
Btw, if anyone in the portsmouth area needs anything reset or checking, Larry is very good honest and im pretty sure would charge less than a 1/4 of the alfa dealer cost. Its LS Autos in the Jubilee Rd Industrial Est. in Waterlooville.
Does anyone have any recomendations?
Thanks in advance :-)
Dispite the cost of living now-a-days, have you noticed how it still remains so popular?
